This Saturday is anticipated to be a beautiful day with highs in the mid 70s and the sky spotted with white clouds. For those of you looking to stay within Roxborough you’re in luck because this Saturday is filled with things to do around the beautiful red rocks of Roxborough.
The annual Rox Trot is a 5k and 10k run that weaves around and between the beautiful red rocks of Roxborough Park. This year the race will be held on May 14th and proceeds will benefit Hands Across Roxborough and youth programs in Roxborough. The race begins at 9am and racers will be divided into four categories: 5K 18 and under, 5K over 18, 10K 18 and under, and 10K over 18. Entries start at $15 per person and include a t-shirt, timed race and awards. The race is put on entirely by volunteers so if you are interested in helping please click here to sign up. For more information, please call Ryan Moralez at 720-272-9531.
Local Denver softball team, Denver Divide, is hosting a public golf tournament at Arrowhead Golf Club starting at 1:30pm in order to raise money for their league. Tournament registration starts at $80 per person and includes 8 holes of golf with cart, gps, free range balls, stroke play with stableford point format, event t-shirt, drawstring backpack, raffle, three mulligans or one pick-a-putt and a 12 month subscription to Golf Digest
Finally, end the day at On The Rocks Bar & Grill for their half priced wine bottle night. If you time it right, you’ll get to watch a beautiful sunset from their outdoor patio and watch the setting sun cast stunning shadows across the golf course and red rock formations..
