Roxborough License plate covers are now available for purchase as a fund raiser for the Roxborough Area Historical Society.
Funds will help with there mission to honor the heritage and preserve historic sites. RAHS has applied to History Colorado for a $100,000 grant to address the stabilization and preservation of the historic landmark kiln, immediately adjacent to the West Metro Fire District 15 station. The grant requires a $25,000 match to reflect our community’s participation. The kiln is the largest vestige testament to the miners, brick workers and families of the early 1900s Town of Silica, just a few feet from Roxborough state Park’s entrance.
license plate covers are $10/each or $15/for Two (cash) and available at RE/MAX Edge across from Safeway.
In addition to this fundraiser, the Roxborough Area Historical Society has a number of fun filled educational activities throughout the year along with membership opportunities. More at www.roxhistory.org
