The 9th Annual Roxborough Park Art Fair was held last weekend and was a great success. The fair consisted of two days packed with art, art demonstrations, animal encounters, a silent auction, music, food and firetruck rides. And for the extra sleepy bears that didn’t join the rest of their friends over the last few weeks, the Awakening of the Bears parade was sure to get them up and out of their caves.
Event attendees couldn’t have asked for better weather. Blue skies and warm wind created a great environment to peruse the variety of booths which included beautiful art from local vendors such as photography, pottery, jewelry, floral arrangements and clothing. The boy scouts were their selling local honey and Flo Tonelli and Char Nauman were their promoting their recently published book on Roxborough’s history.
Sunday brought out Roxborough’s classic, awesome and unique cars. The cars looked great all displayed against the red rocks!
Attendees were also able to purchase BBQ, ice cream and shave ice throughout the two day event. Tables and chairs were set-up around a stage for people to enjoy their food and listen to music including jazz, rock-n-roll and even a steel drum band.
