The council welcomes all levels of artists in all mediums. Many of the art that comes from the council is on display and for sale at the Rox Arts Gallery in the Roxborough Marketplace. Formerly between Waterton Tavern and Roxborough Academy of Martial Arts, the gallery has relocated to the 2nd floor of the marketplace just left of the elevator.

According to South Metro Fire, the fire was caused by malfunctioning equipment on a power pole. The fire scorched 205 acres before it was fully contained. Luckily no damage was caused to structures in the area but certainly a scary moment for many.

Read MoreAutumn is in full swing which means the corn maze is open at the Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms. The 8-acre maze opened to the public on September 16th and will continue to be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays till October 30th. A mini maze, pony rides and a jumping pillow is available to kids, hayrides and a variety of treats are available to all. Starting September 30th, the lights will be turned out and visitors can attempt to make it out of the maze in the dark. For those looking for something scary, there are several attractions including the Corn Stalkers Haunted Maze, Reapers Ranch and a haunted hayride.
