We are nearly there – only a couple short days till we say goodbye to 2016 and welcome 2017 with open arms. If you’re like me, 2017 can’t come soon enough. The new year brings hope, fresh starts and great expectations. With all the excitement that the new year brings, one can forget to look back. Here’s a recap of Roxborough’s 2016.


Roxborough’s library celebrated it’s 10th birthday.


The Denver Broncos became Super Bowl 50 champions.


Work on Sterling Ranch began.


Roxborough Primary and Intermediate School was authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.


Coloradans gained the right to collect rainwater.


Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms hosted its first Lavender Festival.


Roxborough’s history was beautifully documented.


Another successful Roxborough Music Festival.


Roxborough had its first ever Oktoberfest.


A new location for ROX Art Gallery.


Domino’s opened.


Roxborough State Park received Archaeologist’s Award for Fostering a Positive Public Appreciation for the Archaeological Heritage of Roxborough State Park.
