There’s a lot of love in the air! Love for the Broncos, the warming weather and our Valentines are topping the list, currently.
Super Bowl 50 champions, the Denver Broncos, will be celebrated with a parade through downtown Denver today. The parade will start at noon at 17th and Wynkoop streets (Union Station) and end at Civic Center Park. Click here for more information on the parade route.
A rally will follow the parade at 1pm with the Broncos players, coaches, Gov. John Hickenlooper and Mayor Michael Hancock in attendance.
According to Denver police, 375,000 people attended the 1999 celebration when the Broncos defeated Atlanta. Event planners have pointed out that the city has grown significantly since then so the numbers could reach over one million. For those who plan to attend, it is strongly encouraged to use public transportation.
The 5 day forecast for the Roxborough area has us warming up considerably. Weather.com shows highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s with a whole lot of sun. Follow Weather Talk on Facebook to get more detailed predictions for the Roxborough area. Greg Berman manages the page by providing frequent updates on larger weather systems and uploading radar images.
The great forecasted weather will make for an enjoyable Valentine’s Day. RE/MAX Edge will be hosting their 3rd annual Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt. You can pick-up your scavenger hunt packets at RE/MAX Edge starting Friday, February 12th. Return your completed packet to RE/MAX Edge and finish the craft project there by 4pm on Saturday, February 13th to be entered into the drawing.
