Douglas County is sponsoring two improvement studies in regards to US 85. One of which is the PEL Study meant to update recommended improvements from State Highway 67 in Sedalia to half mile north of C-470. The study will assist the county with identifying transportation improvements such as traffic issues as well as environmental and economic impacts.
The first public open house was held on November 19th. Only 35 attendees were present to hear the project overview and provide input. Not to worry if you missed it, though. All meeting materials can be found on the project’s website. A survey, interactive map and comment form are also available and the public is encouraged to visit the website to provide their input (closes December 18th) which will help shape the corridor. Roxborough residents should definitely take some time to share their thoughts and take the short survey as many of us use US 85. The map below provides an illustration as to what areas the PEL Study covers – Titan Road is right in the middle of it.
The next meeting is anticipated for early next year. If you are interested in participating, check the website in January for more details.
